out going and love to meet people, I really enjoy working as a private chef more because you get to see your work being enjoyed by guest.
My Passion for cooking started at a very early age. I remember helping my mother on Sundays with the roast and making cake for families and guests who would visit.
I took up my first position as a Chef in the Park Lane Hotel "London" Where I started as a Commis "trainee" Chef. While at Park Lane I took up Catering College to improve my knowledge in the Catering Industry. I continued college for seven years covering basic cooking and then advance my skills in Buffet and Larder work. I work throughout the Industry Picking up skills and knowledge from the different establishments. Since I started at the Park Lane Hotel I have constantly worked my way up the career ladder.
My deepest passion is for Oriental Cooking after work at the Crockford Casino "London," I have always been interested to know much more about this style of cooking, so I brought books. But this was not enough so I took up classes and started visiting foreign countries on holiday.
I visit New Orleans where I first tasted Cajun food and California where I experienced Real Mexican cooking.
It was a great enrichment to visit all the different countries and tasting the vast range of ethnic dishes from around the world, I would then try a master all the dishes on my return home
After my long period working in five-star hotel and Michelin style restaurant, I really enjoy working as a private chef more because you get to see your work being enjoyed giving you that first hand feeling to do more for the host and guest,

Chef Darius was simply a dream chef to have.
I had let me know I was hosting a 30th birthday dinner and Chef Darius went above and beyond for us. Not only did he give us more than what we asked for, he was thoughtful enough to create signature dishes that we absolutely loved! His personality is cheerful and very polite. Chef Darius kept the perfect balance between giving us privacy and keeping us in the loop with what dishes he had in store, and telling us a bit about his culinary background. His presentation of the food was impeccable, and each dish was better than the last. We felt quite lucky to be in the presence of such a renowned chef with an extensive history in cooking. Overall I would highly highly recommend Chef Darius if you’re looking for a one of a kind experience!

Darius cooked for me and my husband to celebrate his 30th birthday. What an evening we had! Darius was so friendly and relaxed he is clearly an expert in what he does. Not only did he prepare us amazing food, he shared his expertise with us and had great conversation. The food was exquisite better than any restaurant I have been to. I can’t thank Darius enough for such a wonderful evening, we will definitely be booking again!

Darius was fantastic and really made our evening special. Aside from serving an excellent standard of food, with generous portions, he provided the perfect balance of discreet and personable. He left us to it when appropriate, but also kept us informed of what he was preparing and had some funny and interesting stories to keep us entertained too.
Darius was also super accommodating with the menu to include any changes I wanted to make in advance, would highly recommend all round.

I received the menu on the Take a Chef platform so did not need it via whatsapp or print as I designed and printed it myself to suit my decor.
Darius was incredible! He basically brought five star dining right to the comfort of our home. His appetizers were incredibly delicious and so was everything else on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. He was very concise in his communication on the Take A Chef platform as well as via text on the time of his arrival. He arrived at the right time to prep and present our courses.
He was extremely patient with us as we needed a little bit more time in between courses- he basically dedicated the entire evening to us. His portions were significantly generous as well which meant we definitely had value for money. He also talked us through each course, how it was made and his inspiration behind the recipe. He did not just give us a meal, he also gave us a full experience, which was better than going to a high end restaurant. He was kind enough to answer all our questions, not just about the meal but regarding his cooking career as well.
I had this arranged as a surprise valentine dinner for my husband and he helped bring it together perfectly! We will definitely have Chef Darius listed as our favourite for future events.
